Driving into Sheringham along the coast road from Wells, you might spot a plume of smoke or even get a glimpse of an old steam engine chugging along the Poppy Line. The terminus of the heritage railway is at Sheringham Station, and alongside it is a large car park where the market is held on Saturdays (and Wednesdays in summer months). Also in Station Road is the Little Theatre, which presents film, music and drama. Station Road leads into the High Street, and the two streets have a good range of interesting independent shops.

High Street and Seafront Promenade

The High Street contains numerous tea shops, cafes, restaurants and fish & chip shops. At the end of the High Street, narrow streets lead you down to the promenade which weaves beneath the cliffs.  Further along the promenade is Sheringham Lifeboat Station, and just off the prom in Lifeboat Plain is the newly opened (2010) Mo Museum.
